Hi there, I’m Opal!

I believe a hat isn’t just for keeping warm or protecting you from the sun — it’s a way to express yourself, a little piece of personality you can wear every day. Each piece I make is hand cut and sewn here in Breckenridge, Colorado with care, made to last through snowy adventures, to the streets of the city, and everything in between.

But this isn’t just about hats. It’s about community. I want this space to connect people who love to sew, ski, and spend time outdoors — those who love to get out, but also stay in.

I am an avid sewer, skier, mountain biker, and lifelong mountain kid. I was born and raised in the heart of Colorado, always doing something outside, which shaped who I am today. When I’m not out skiing, biking, hiking, or laughing with friends, you can usually find me at my sewing machine, bringing new ideas to life.

Sewing has always been more than a skill for me — it’s a passion. After attending Colorado State University to study Apparel and Merchandising, concentrating in Product Development, and now, working in Product Development for a large backpack company, I wanted to create something closer to home: goods that carry high levels of quality, warmth, and with a personal touch. That’s how all these hats came to be.
